ABOUT US
Celebrating Culture, Unity, and Growth Among Nigerians Abroad
We are a community of Nigerians in Nanaimo—built by Nigerians, for Nigerians. As a voluntary, non-profit organization, we’re dedicated to creating spaces where our culture thrives, our people connect, and our shared experiences help us grow together. Through intercultural learning and community support, we aim to strengthen our identity, empower one another, and celebrate the Nigerian spirit wherever we are.
Welcome Note from our President……
How can we
help you?
Dear Members and Friends,
It is with great joy and pride that I welcome you to the Association of Nigerians in Nanaimo (ANIN). A home away from home for every Nigerian who now calls this beautiful city their own. Our community stands as a reflection of the strength, unity, and resilient spirit that defines our Nigerian heritage.
Here, we celebrate the richness of our culture, our shared stories, and our unyielding determination to thrive wherever we are planted. Whether you are new to Nanaimo or have been here for years, know that you are not alone. This association is built on the values of support, friendship, and collective growth, so never hesitate to reach out.
Together, we will continue to uplift one another, share our culture with pride, and build a legacy that our children will carry forward with honor.
Welcome once again, you are part of something special.
Warm regards,

Support the next generation
We are building a stronger future by investing in young people, expanding access to opportunity, and meeting real needs across our communities.

COMMUNITY DISCOURSE
Nigeria at 65 and what it means for us in the diaspora.
We’ve opened a community conversation and survey inviting all Nigerians in Nanaimo to share their thoughts on how we can inspire positive change within our community—and beyond. Together, we aim to strengthen the bond between Nigerians at home and abroad, contributing to a better Nigeria–Canada relationship as we proudly celebrated Nigeria’s 65th Independence Day in month of October 2025
